About the Prize
- It is awarded for achievements and merits in the development of fundamental mathematics and applied research in the field of mathematics in the Russian Federation and in the world. This includes research that has contributed to the achievement of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
- The winner will be selected by a committee based on the results of the competition. The competition takes place once every three years, and in 2025, it will be held for the first time.
- The award ceremony will take place from 17 to 23 August as part of the 10th International Conference on Differential and Functional Differential Equations dedicated to the memory of academician S.P. Novikov (DFDE-2025).

- Has no joint publications with scientists from RUDN University (in the application for the competition)

Questions and answers
Applicants can be nominated by:
- Councils of scientific/scientific and educational organizations engaged in research activities in the field of mathematics.
- Foreign scientific and educational organizations.
- Academicians and corresponding members of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
- Members of the International Scientific Councils of RUDN University.
- Laureates of state and international scientific awards.
- Members of foreign state academies and state or international scientific communities.
- Self-nomination for the Prize is not allowed.
An applicant can be:
- Russian or foreign researcher.
- An individual scientist or a research team (no more than 3 people).
- An applicant must not be a current employee of RUDN University.
- An applicant must not have joint publications with scientists from RUDN University (in the application for the competition).
The application should include:
- Works or series of works in English (in electronic form) submitted for the award.
- Information about the Applicant (Appendix No. 1) with attached copies of documents proving the identity of the Applicant and documents confirming the scientific degrees, academic titles and scientific achievements of the Applicant and team members. For citizens of the Russian Federation — a passport of a citizen of the Russian Federation, for foreign citizens — documents proving the identity of a foreign citizen stipulated by the legislation of the relevant state or a foreign passport.
- Submission to the Applicant from individuals or organizations indicating the scientific / scientific and technical significance of the Applicant’s work (Appendix No. 2). All signatures must be certified by a seal.
- Documents confirming the authority of the nominating person or organization. For individuals: certificates of awarding prizes, academic titles, confirmation of membership in academies, scientific communities. For legal entities and scientific/scientific and educational organizations — extracts from the minutes of meetings of collective management bodies (scientific/scientific councils), letters from the organization indicating the organization’s details.
- Applicant’s consent to the processing of personal data (Appendices No. 3 and No. 4). If the applicant is a scientific team, consent to the processing of personal data is provided by each member of the team.
- Applications are evaluated by the competition committee — more than 10 people. They are leading Russian and foreign scientists in the field of mathematics.
- At least 30% of them are foreign scientists.
